DALLAS — In one of the most entertaining matchups of the weekend, No. 17 Arkansas used a dominant second half to knock off No. 16 Texas Tech, 93–86, in a neutral-site showdown that lived up to its billing. After trailing at the break, the Razorbacks turned up the defensive pressure and found their offensive rhythm, outscoring the Red Raiders 50–37 over the final 20 minutes to earn a resume-boosting win.

Arkansas leaned heavily on Trevon Brazile, who delivered one of the best performances of his career. The senior forward finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds, stretching the floor with timely three-pointers and attacking the rim when Tech attempted to switch defensively. Brazile’s ability to score at all three levels proved to be the difference as Arkansas seized control midway through the second half.

Texas Tech was led by JT Toppin, who was virtually unstoppable inside. The junior posted a monster 30-point, 11-rebound effort, consistently winning one-on-one matchups and keeping the Red Raiders within striking distance. However, Tech struggled to generate consistent stops late, allowing Arkansas to build separation through transition buckets and second-chance points.

The Razorbacks depth also showed down the stretch in this game. Evidently, Arkansas had multiple contributors stepping up to handle Tech’s physical defensive style. Arkansas displayed improved ball movement and late-game composure. Which highlighted the team’s growth early in the season and served as a reminder of its potential heading into conference play.

With the win, Arkansas solidified itself as a legitimate contender in the SEC and proved it can close games against ranked opponents. Texas Tech, despite the loss, showed enough toughness and star power to remain firmly in the national conversation.
